Title: Frankie Goes To Hollywood: The power of love

The new gods are horror and sex said Frankie in “Two Tribes”. I don’t think they really mean it. Here they take a welcome break from the cynical business of controversy-stirring to deliver a tender little love song: all acoustic guitars and Holly Johnson busting a gut to sound achingly sincere. It might not sell as many t-shirts as “Relax” but the sharp money’s on Des O’Connor doing a cover version within two years. A friend just back from New York tells me their new stage show is mediocrity dressed in dry ice but I shan’t be swayed. A sublime Single Of The Fortnight for all swinging lovers.
