WHO’S AFRAID OF

THE ART OF NOISE?

(ZTT logo)

(continued)

this record includes moments in love, beat box, a time for fear and close (to the edit )…the music was compiled by the art of noise between February 28th 1983 and April 1st 1984…on April 2nd 1985 the art of noise had this to say: “our contemporaries irritate us. we detest the neighbour to our right. we detest the neighbour to our left. above all, we detest the one on the floor above us. just as much, anyway, as the one on the ground floor. (good heavens! we live on the ground floor ourselves!!!)”…the busy buzzing flies are of some use after all…sleeve design: xlajztt for the enjoyment of zang tuum tuum. zang tumb tumb’s musical director is trevor horn.

WHAT TO KNOW

Let us laugh with those we tickle…let us weep with those we expose to tear gas. Let us throw back our heads and laugh at reality, which is an illusion caused by mescalin deficiency; at sanity, which is an illusion caused by alcohol deficiency; at knowledge, which is an illusion caused by certain biochemical changes in the human brain stucture during the course of human evolution… Let us laugh at thought, which is a phenomenon like any other. At illusion, which is an illusion, which is a phenomenon like any other…

WHAT IT IS

…it is the traditional task of the prophet to denounce systems of rule and life which deny the freedom of the flesh or the imagination

WHAT?

The Noise was realised by The ART OF NOISE. Electronic equipment was used for the compilation of this noise. Anne Dudley, Trevor Horn, J.J. Jeczalik and Gary Langan appeared to handle this equipment. Zang Tuum Tumb records were consulted. Oh, oh, oh it’s useful!

And it’s number sixteen, thirty four and ninety eight

Number ninety eight is dedicated to Charlie Drake
