ZANG TUMMM TUMB ARTICLES “the first draft of history”

Having just bought the remix of “The Look Of Love” by ABC, I would like to know the reason for the remix and approximately how many copies were made.

Adam Bridgeman, Swindon.

ABC wanted to issue a record which was specifically aimed at the American market and because producer Trevor Horn had recently been working with Malcolm McLaren on “Buffalo Gals”, they decided to apply a similar treatment to “The Look Of Love” in what they described as “a moody exercise”. Around 500 copies were distributed to club and radio deejays while the remainder were sent to different record shops, bringing the total batch to 1,000. However, odd copies are still filtering through and it shouldnt be too difficult to obtain one from your local dealer.
