DRASTIC PLASTIC

BUGGLES LAST week faced the threat of having their debut album ‘The Age Of Plastic withdrawn from the shops.

Synthesiser player Hans Florian Zimmer sought a High Court injunction last Friday (February 1) to stop the album, after claiming that he had played synthesiser on the album and had not been credited.

Buggles, appearing as Trevor Horne and Jeff Downs, denied the claim, and the case was adjourned until later this week to allow for the presentation of further evidence.

The album is still on sale, and as Buggles record company, Island, have pointed out, it will remain so until the injunction is granted or rejected. “We cant make any comment until the court case is over,” said their spokesman.
