In the company of the A of N muso conceptualists, your favourite Welsh hunk turned oldster Vegas superstar re-lives his legendary Jonathan Ross Show performance of Prince’s ‘Kiss’. Tom’s bullnecking of the vocals is truly wonderful but the Art-ers parping horns and rigid trickery take away too much funk for this to be more than a gallant gimmick. Next week Cilla Black covers Run DMC’s ‘Raising Hell’ with the Fall, and the entire pop world turns to guacamole.
