FROM SOFT TO HARD, FROM DRY TO MOIST…

A cassette celebration of the famous ‘Relax’…Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Trevor Horn and Zang Tuum Tumb made it big and beautiful and someone somewhere between the clean sheets made it banned…What was read into it?

Performed by FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD who are known to be: Holly Johnson, Peter Gill, Mark O’Toole, Brian Nash and Paul Rutherford. (They didn’t stay.)

Produced by TREVOR HORN assisted by his Building Theamb. Packaged by XLZTT.

Photograph taken by Steve Romney at the Camden Palace, November 1983, minutes before Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s Special Act. “They shoot photographers, don’t they?”

Chapter Ten

Spokesman for ‘morality’ have no right to condemn or to try to prevent any kind of sexual relationship unless they can demonstrate that it is bringing society more unhappiness than happiness. It is always easy to produce illegitamacy, divorce and venereal disease statistics: but the statistics of sexual happiness are harder to come by.

This cassette can be both a part of Number One In Zang Tuum Tumb’s Discriminating Action Series and all of Number Twenty Nine in Zang Tuum Tumb’s Direct Incidental Series. “Never give a disc jockey an odd suck.”

Climbing in and out of the skin of ‘Relax’ (Gill-Johnson-O’Toole) on this cassette is the sigh, the invitation plus:

1/The Party Trick (Acting Dumb) 2/The Special Act (Adapted From The Sex Mix) 3/The U.S. Mix (Come Dancing) 4/The Single (The Act) and then, after the act, 5/Later On (From One September Monday) and 6/Gerry Marsden’s Ferry Across The Mersey (…and here I’ll stay.)
