About nine weeks ago I sent off my £6.00 postal order to join the Frankie Goes To Hollywood fan club. As nothing has arrived, I then wrote away again last week but still, no reply. What should I do? Should I go to the police?

You’re not the only one. The official excuse is that “the printers let us down” although I reckon that’s little comfort to those who had their £6.00 cheques cashed up to three months ago. However, the good news is that they expect to have everything sorted out by the second week of October. They promise a folder containing “glossy wallet, poster, photograph, official club membership badge, biography and newsletter”, so let’s hope that’s what you get. If dissatisfied, write and complain!
