FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD have at last announced plans for their long-awaited UK tour, their first since they rocketed to fame with ‘Relax .In fact, their only British appearances since then were the hometown Liverpool concerts at Christmas. After a show in Ireland, their UK schedule takes in 13 dates, preceding a European tour opening in Copenhagen on 9 April.

They play Dublin RDS Simmons Court (12 March), Sheffield City Hall (14), Leicester De Montfort Hall (15), Newcastle City Hall (17 and 18), Glasgow Apollo (20), Birmingham Odeon (23 and 24), Manchester Apollo (26 and 27), London Hammersmith Odeon (31 and 1 April), Brighton Centre (3) and Bournemouth International Centre (4). Its possible that more dates will be added, and there are gaps in their itinerary which would permit this.

Tickets go on sale today (Wednesday) at box-offices and usual agents, priced 8.50 Irish punts (Dublin), £8 and £7 (Hammersmith) and £7.50 and £6.50 (all other venues). A new single will be released as a prelude to the tour, but they are currently working on several possible titles.
